Ms. Cynthia Yawa Dzorka is the Head of Department for Kindergarten at the UHAS Basic school, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Winneba.
She has a passion for working with children and believes that there is no limit to what children can achieve when given the opportunity to operate in the right environment. She was driven by passion to become a professional teacher trusting that her profession would offer her the opportunity to work with children on a daily basis.
Cynthia has rich experiences in teaching for over twenty years. She worked with the Methodist Education Unit for about five years and was later transferred to serve under the Armed Forces Education Unit, where she displayed a sense of hard work that won her several positions and awards. Before joining the UHAS Basic School, she served in many portfolios including: board member, Tsito Secondary Technical School; as students’ representative in-charge, 7 Garrison Kindergarten; Secretary for Ghana Armed Forces Teachers Association; welfare treasurer, chaplain, Kabore Primary school. She is also a Sunday School teacher, church council member, welfare officer and worship committee member at Methodist Presbyterian Church, Volta Barracks, Ho.
